Preparing seeds

The cucumber seeds remain on average 8 to 10 years, but this period may be reduced due to poor storage conditions, high temperatures and humidity. Optimal storage mode: air humidity 50 - 60 per cent, air temperature about +15 °C (shaded room). Dry cucumber seeds " not afraid " of low negative temperatures, unlike salad seeds, Peky cabbage, roots which, after such exposure, flourish quickly without having succeeded in producing nomadic or root fruit.

Pre-basic seeds are provided to accelerate uptakes, increase stress resilience and increase yields. Selling and semen ' s firms and scientific centres must be thermally decontaminated, they need not be warmed up and disguised in a manganese solution. Old seeds (6-8 years ago) can be barbotized. To this end, put seeds in a marble bag, put it in a water bank where the aquarium processor is located. The seeds barbotize (air-making) 24 hours after which they immediately drip.

Immediately before the planting to accelerate seed growth, with the exception of processed (definished), the room temperature shall be kept in the water before the glued. Efficiently clean seeds in solutions of biologically active substances (stimulators).

In order to increase the coldness, a pre-sealing may be carried out, for which water-wrapped seeds (but not grown) are placed in a wet tissue, placed in a refrigerator and held at a temperature of 0...-2 °C for two days, after which they shall be immediately dryed. The tissue must remain wet all the time.
